In 2011, Jennifer Piette founded her home-delivery service, Out of the Box Collective, to bring carefully selected seasonal, local produce, meats and other regional specialties to Los Angelenos' doorsteps. Fortunately for the rest of the nation, in November, she introduced a mail-order component to her website that features an ever-expanding selection of non-perishable treats, assembled in various thoughtfully curated gift boxes, baskets and bags. Her latest assortment, the California Dreamin' bag, has jams from Bona Dea, whose strawberry-balsamic blend has a loyal following, and salt-preserved lemons from Hilltop & Canyon Farms, among other Piette picks.
